Happy Fourth of July Tampa's Downtown!

In observance of the upcoming Independence Day holiday, the Tampa Downtown Partnership office will be closed on Tuesday, July 4. Tampa’s Downtown Guides and Clean Team will maintain normal working hours.

The Partnership celebrates 37 years and releases their 2022-2023 Year in Review report

“Over the course of the year, the Tampa Downtown Partnership has been dedicated to enhancing the vibrancy and activation of Tampa’s Downtown. As Downtown Tampa dashes into the future, we’re seeing the buzz from people who live, work, play and learn here and it adds up to make the heart of our city one of the most energetic in America,” said Shaun Drinkard, Interim President of the Tampa Downtown Partnership.

 

The Tampa Downtown Partnership has named its new board chairwoman, Jin Liu, and leadership for the upcoming year.

 

Liu takes over as Chairwoman from Abbey Ahern of Dohring Ahern Brokerage, who will serve as immediate past Chairwoman and Secretary. Other executive committee positions include Vice-Chair Stephen Panzarino of AECOM Technical Services Inc., and Treasurer Tim Koletic of Fifth Third Bank.

 

The executive committee is rounded out by the following members: Dr. Jason Collins with Adeas-Q; Michael English from JT3, LLC; Jeff Houck of 1905 Family of Restaurants; Kimberly Madison of Strategic Property Partners; Marshall Rainey with Burr & Forman LLP and Braxton Williams from PNC Bank.

31-story AER apartment tower in Tampa's Downtown tops out

“Our team of skilled builders and dedicated workers proudly celebrate today’s topping out of this magnificent residential tower,” Sean DeMartino, president of Central Florida for Coastal Construction, said in a release. “From laying the foundation to placing the top floor, this milestone is a testament to the collaborative spirit with American Land Ventures and the unwavering dedication of our entire team.”

 

The tower is in the heart of Downtown and residents will be steps away from the Tampa Riverwalk. AER is expected to act as a hub for the Downtown River Arts District. It will include 13,802 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 514 parking spaces in a structure above the shops.

Summer Series set to return to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park this Friday!

The Tampa Downtown Partnership is bringing back our Summer Series public space activation event, providing 6000 sq. ft. of shade in Curtis Hixon Park. Mirroring the highly recognized Winter Village, the Partnership plans to bring its shade structure back to the park to provide FREE kids programming for four weeks during the summer, kicking off on Friday, July 7th.
