Tampa's Downtown

Getting Around

Getting From One Area of Downtown to Another is Easy

Downtown is Tampa Bay’s central transportation hub with several options available throughout the week and weekend. Think outside of the car! Get to your destination quickly via HART’s new streamlined bus network, TECO Line Streetcar, bike path routes, complete sidewalk network, water taxi, Downtowner ride service, taxi, e-scooter, and/or rideshare (Uber/Lyft).

Public Transportation

There are plenty of options to get around downtown Tampa. Take a ride in an eco-friendly, open-air, electric vehicle offering door-to-door services with the complimentary, app-based Downtowner. There are even water taxis that traverse the river. The historic streetcars are steadily gaining use as a means for downtown Tampa public transportation, and are a big bonus during major events.

Ride Service

The Downtowner vehicles operate seven days a week within Downtown Tampa’s business district, Channel District, River Arts District, the University of Tampa area, as well as the non-gated north end of Harbour Island. This is a service of the Tampa Downtown Partnership.

Parking

With more than 24,000 parking spaces, there’s always somewhere to park in Downtown Tampa! There are thousands of spaces in convenient garages close to businesses, attractions, shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.
