Located in the River Arts neighborhood, the Portico Café is home to a wall painted by artist Josefina Saunders to honor unhoused people that have lost their lives. For the past five years, Saunders and the folks over at Portico Café have continued to update the wall every year, making a conscious effort to humanize and honor the unhoused population.
Miami-based real estate investment, development, and design firm LD&D is bringing Cass Square to Tampa’s Downtown. This $200 million development will include a luxury multifamily tower named “DoMo”, along with retail and hospitality developments by Westin Hotel and Dynamic Group. The first phase of this development is set to begin this summer.

The Downtown Neighborhood Enhancement Grant is an initiative centered around the growth and betterment of the neighborhoods in Tampa’s Downtown. This program offers annual grants of up to $5,000 to each of Downtown’s seven neighborhoods, and is intended to fund free and accessible community-driven projects.
