You're in luck! River O' Green returns to Downtown this March

River O’ Green, presented by Grow Financial, is set to return March 18th to Tampa’s Downtown. The annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park will feature live music, kids activities, food trucks, and of course, beer.

Urban Excellence Award Winners Announced!

The Tampa Downtown Partnership revealed the 2023 Urban Excellence Award winners last Wednesday night, recognizing projects, businesses and individuals impacting the development of Downtown Tampa.

 

The awards were held at the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts and among the nominees were the University of Tampa Riseman Fitness and Recreation Center, Supernatural Food and Wine, Tampa Bay History Center Walking Tours and Tampa Fresh Foods by Lucy Sparrow and the Vinik Family Foundation.

A Tampa Riverwalk expansion will connect neighborhoods to Downtown and increase pedestrian safety

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor unveiled plans last Tuesday to expand the Tampa Riverwalk to neighborhoods near Downtown Tampa while increasing bicycle and pedestrian safety.

 

According to a news release, the 5-mile expansion will allow the Riverwalk to connect more neighborhoods, including West Tampa, Tampa Heights, Bayshore Boulevard, Hyde Park, Riverside Heights, North Franklin Street, and Bowman Heights.

Small Giant, Wine on Water open in Downtown Tampa

Cru Hospitality Group, parent company of Cru Cellars, is expanding its brand, having opened two concepts in Water Street Tampa last week — Wine on Water on Wednesday, February 15 and Small Giant on Friday, February 17. Found in the up-and-coming neighborhood, these localized destinations will showcase some of the best wines at Wine on Water and dining options at Small Giant. The adjacent concepts are located on Water Street on the bottom floor of Cora, one of the neighborhood’s three residential buildings.
