Celebrate St. Patrick's Day by taking a bike ride along the Green Spine!

Wear green and celebrate Florida Bike Month & St. Patrick’s Day by biking to work on the Green Spine with Mayor Castor!

 

Ride will begin at Centennial Park in Ybor at 7:30am. From Centennial Park we will ride along 7th Ave to the Green Spine on Nuccio Parkway, Cass St, and then Franklin St to Lykes Gaslight Park.

Brightline, Hillsborough officials agree to make future Tampa station part of a broader transit network

Brightline and Hillsborough County officials agreed last Wednesday that Brightline’s Tampa station should represent one piece in a larger transit network.

 

The inter-city rail company plans to launch service to Tampa by the end of the decade. A station location hasn’t been chosen but all indications point to Ybor City.

Tampa's Downtown Debriefing Series returns in April

Join us on April 7th at the Hyatt Place in Downtown Tampa for the first in-person Downtown Debriefing of 2022!

Glazer Children's Museums opens brand new exhibit featuring South Tampa ice cream parlor

The Glazer Children’s Museum in Downtown Tampa is opening up a brand new exhibit just in time for Spring Break in partnership with South Tampa’s Dairy Joy.

 

The new kids’ ice cream parlor is retro-styled with black and white checkered floors and a nod to Elvis. The parlor officially opened on Saturday, March 12.

Late Start Brewing will open its first brick-and-mortar in Tampa's Downtown

According to a post from the Late Start Brewing Instagram, the “Tampa born-and-bred” company just started buildout on its upcoming brewery at 1018 E Cass St. ​​

 

The roughly 2,500 square-foot building formerly housed a convenience store and market. Building plans and city records from November show that the proposed use includes an in-house food service. Plans also show a dining room and bar area that can accommodate about 50 people, with outdoor seating with picnic tables and tables for approximately 50 more people.
