Tampa Downtown Partnership moves to a new office this week

The Tampa Downtown Partnership staff are moving offices this week to a new suite in the iconic Rivergate Tower. Please note our new address at 400 N. Ashley Dr., Suite 1010, Tampa, FL 33602.

Conference attendees from across the nation give Tampa positive reviews

The Tampa Downtown Partnership proudly welcomed place management professionals from across the globe to Tampa’s Downtown last week with resounding success.

 

“I felt like this city is way more than I expected it to be. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. My history with Florida is I’ve been to several cities but not in the last several years. Tampa absolutely makes me want to come back.” said Kate Borders, president and executive director of Downtown Tempe Authority.

Could parklets completely change Tampa's Downtown?

Two years into a pandemic-altered lifestyle, downtown planners have learned people really love one temporary change — outdoor dining at “parklets” or “streeteries”. The future of parklets was a hot topic at this week’s 67th annual International Downtown Association conference, as attendees toured the Partnership’s numerous parklets in Tampa’s Downtown.

 

Axios’ Ben Montgomery attended the discussion and shared some thoughts, facts, and figures about parklets seen across the country.

Salvation Army has sold some of its Tampa Heights real estate

One of the most closely watched pieces of real estate in Tampa Heights has sold. The Salvation Army has sold its office building at 1514 N. Florida Ave. to Abacus Heights LLC, which paid $2.05 million for the 23,535-square-foot building. New plans for the building include a boutique office space.

 

The Salvation Army used the building for its sheltering services, a spokeswoman said and will consolidate its operations at 1603 N. Florida Ave.
