Honoring Christine Burdick

We are very saddened to share the passing of former Tampa Downtown Partnership President and CEO Christine Burdick. Christine was an iconic urban leader and contributed to enhancing the vibrancy, development, and quality of life throughout Downtowns across the nation.

During her fifteen-year tenure with the Tampa Downtown Partnership, beginning in 2002, Christine made an insurmountable impact on Tampa’s Downtown during periods of unprecedented growth and change. The impact of her work in the community has brightened Tampa’s future for generations to come.

Our condolences, thoughts, and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

Freedman is under contract to acquire the half-city block at 1221 N. Florida Ave. There, on what’s currently a surface parking lot, he envisions a 10-story, 1,200-unit “museum-quality” self-storage facility with street-level retail and a rooftop garden.
