Tampa Downtown Partnership showcases Tampa to international audience at IDA Annual Conference

Along with a plenary presentation, roundtable, and speaker session, the staff at the Partnership embraced a prominent role in this year’s International Downtown Association’s (IDA) Annual Conference and Marketplace. Originally planned to happen in Tampa’s Downtown, the conference went virtual due to COVID-19. During the event’s closing reception, participants were given a first-look at what to expect when they come to Tampa for the 2021 conference.

Tampa's first autonomous shuttle will debut in Tampa's Downtown today

The new self-driving shuttle, which is free to riders, will begin its one year pilot program on October 12. The new route will include four stops: Marion Transit Center’s Bay F, Kennedy Boulevard, Washington Street and Whiting Street, with plans for a future stop at Tampa City Hall.

Tampa's Riverwalk Halloween Hunt kicks off, virtually, this Saturday

The Riverwalk Halloween Hunt is a family-friendly not-too-spooky virtual scavenger hunt along the Tampa Riverwalk. Solve riddles, puzzles, tasks and explore the beautiful Riverwalk in this safe, outdoor Halloween activity fun for all ages. This event is free to the public and will be available until November 1.

Tampa's Downtown Portico Café now selling bags of its popular coffee to help support people in need

The Downtown coffee shop and meeting space is coming up with creative ways to remain profitable during COVID-19. Customers can buy bags of the Portico’s popular roast via their website and either pick it up locally or get it shipped directly to their homes. Sales will help support the Portico’s mission to employ people transitioning from homelessness, addiction or incarceration, as well as provide workforce housing and services to people in need.
