Winter Village returns November 18th!

The Tampa Downtown Partnership is thrilled to announce Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park, presented by the Tampa Bay Lightning, is back for the 2022 season! Winter Village features a real ice rink, local shops, festive food and drink, and a holiday light show. Ice skating tickets must be purchased in advance.

Tampa/St. Pete ranked No. 5 for overall real estate prospects

Tampa and St. Petersburg once again rank among the hottest real estate markets in the U.S., according to an annual report from the Urban Land Institute and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Tampa Downtown Partnership Board of Directors support the 1% Transportation Sales Surtax on the ballot Tuesday

The proposed 1% Transportation Sales Surtax Referendum would go about half towards investing in roads and safety and the other half in expanding transit options. Improvements focused on investing in roads and safety include reducing congestion with computerized traffic lights, improving intersections and roads, fixing potholes and resurfacing streets, and providing new walking and biking options.

 

“As a diligent steward of Downtown Tampa and its stakeholders, our organization believes that increased investment in transportation initiatives will improve the quality of life in our community and encourage physical as well as economic development,” said Lynda Remund, President, and CEO of the Tampa Downtown Partnership.

Tampa restaurant group to open third concept at Sparkman Wharf

Lunch Lady will open in a shipping container in Sparkman Wharf later this month, Water Street Tampa developer Strategic Property Partners said last Thursday. It will serve pressed sandwiches, salads, juices and teas, all made from scratch in-house.

Winter Village introduces NEW curling league!

RecRec and Shuffle Tampa are working with the Tampa Downtown Partnership and Cigar City Brewing to bring you Winter Village’s first inaugural Curling league! The league will begin Wednesday, November 30th and run through Wednesday, December 28th. Games will occur every Wednesday from 6-10PM. Downtown Tampa hotel sells for $45 million

The Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel has sold for $45 million, according to Hillsborough County property records. The new owner is a partnership of Newbond Holdings and Apollo Global Management. The same group bought the Westin Tampa Waterside on Harbour Island in 2021 for a recorded $67.5 million.
