The School of Woodwork offers an opportunity for people of all skill levels to spend a weekend, a week or several immersed in the craft of designing and making furniture, wood carvings and woodturnings on the lathe. Hailing on the historic Franklin Street in downtown, the school provides classes online and in-person.

"This is Tampa's time", says hospitality veteran whose five-star Tampa Edition will open by 2022

New York hospitality legend, Ian Schrager, sat down with the Tampa Bay Times to talk about his Marriott-partnered upscale hotel brand, Edition, which has 11 locations worldwide and eight more on the way. One of those — the fifth in North America — will sit in Downtown Tampa, a five-star jewel in the $3.5 billion Water Street Tampa development.

City of Tampa makes on-street parking in #TampasDowntown more convenient

As part of the city of Tampa Parking Division’s effort to simplify its parking policies and procedures, the division recently removed the two-hour max restrictions for “on-street” parking in the Downtown Central Business District. Instead, customers will now be able to choose their desired duration at the beginning of the parking session.

The Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) needs your feedback!

The Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to evaluate the needs, costs, and effects of extending Whiting Street and Washington Street and reconfiguring the eastbound on-ramp of the Selmon Expressway at Jefferson Street and eastbound off-ramp at Florida Avenue and Channelside Drive. The Virtual Alternatives meeting is on May 20th at 6:30 pm.
