The Partnership celebrates 36 years and inducts new leadership at the 2022 Annual Meeting & Luncheon

With Tampa’s Downtown surging in activity and growth, the Tampa Downtown Partnership has named its new board chair and officers, marking the organization’s 36th anniversary. Incoming Board Chair Abbey Ahern brings a fresh perspective, becoming the first millennial to hold the position.

 

“We were able to maintain momentum for Downtown Tampa through the pandemic, working with all our partners, re-launching the programs people love. Now we’re continuing to support the energized and prosperous neighborhoods of Downtown,” said Lynda Remund, Tampa Downtown Partnership President and CEO.

Boom by the Bay is back in one week!

Mayor Jane Castor’s Boom by the Bay powered by TECO is Tampa’s premier Fourth of July celebration featuring family-friendly activities, live entertainment, a boat parade, and three firework displays, including the largest ever along Tampa’s iconic Bayshore Boulevard.

Local Downtown business shows off their Lightning pride

Who says nail polish and hockey don’t mix? There’s a salon in the shadows of Amalie Arena that’s becoming a popular stop for fans on the way to games.

 

Phan said her nail bar became a magnet for fans after the Tampa Downtown Partnership gave her a flag to proudly hang outside.

 

“Everyone can see it when they are driving by, they are honking their horns, ‘Go Bolts,’ we hear them yelling, so it’s great, it gives us that energy, that spirit,” said Phan.
