Tampa City Council votes down motion to kill the Channel district's CRA funding

Tampa City Council, acting as the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) board, voted against a motion to sunset the CRA on Thursday. CRAs are state-designated areas that retain all new or incremental tax money generated within their boundaries to fund future development.

Hillsborough Education Foundation hosting supply drive to help erase the need

Every year, the Hillsborough Education Foundation partners with the community to collect school supplies for the most vulnerable students, and there are a variety of ways YOU can get involved!

Several downtown Tampa streets will partially close starting today

Portions of the affected streets will begin closing daily for utility construction on July 27th. According to the city of Tampa, one will open again on August 10th and the other two on August 27th.
