Tampa City council vote paves the way for Riverwalk expansion RFP process

Tampa City Council executed an agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation to accept the $24 million grant from 2020 that will extend Tampa’s iconic Riverwalk. New portions of the biking and walking trail may spur economic development projects down the road and translate to opportunities for construction and consultant companies later this summer.

Once Known as the Land of Hooters and ‘Magic Mike,’ Tampa Has Discovered Its Cool Factor

The Wall Street Journal is the most recent outlet to discover Tampa’s rise to the top. “People are coming to Tampa more frequently for conventions or to catch a Tom Brady game. Now it’s like, ‘Hey, I’ve been in your hometown, and it was great—amazing restaurants, good-looking people, looks like a lot of fun!’”

Miami developer buys prime waterfront site in Tampa's Downtown for $55.5 million

Miami’s Related Group paid $55.5 million for 6 acres on the west bank of the Hillsborough River near West Kennedy Boulevard. The Downtown waterfront property has been closely watched for nearly 40 years. Related has a mixed-use vision for the site, including 1,079 residential units with 32,760 square feet of retail space. The project will also include 10 boat slips.

Ash, a new Italian concept from the minds behind Rooster & the Till, is coming to Water Street Tampa

The brand new restaurant is brought to Downtown Tampa by a familiar name: Proper House Group (PHG), the minds behind Rooster & The Till, Nebraska Mini Mart and more. PHG said that its latest concept will specialize in Italian-inspired cuisine and boast an extensive outdoor patio.

 

The 2,400 square-foot restaurant and its accompanying 1,000 square-foot patio will debut at 1050 Water St. in the spring of 2023.
