The purpose of the Storefront and Sidewalk Café Grant Program is to support and encourage more investment in the street level appearance and activation through storefront and sidewalk café improvements.

Fast, a San Francisco financial tech company that deals in online checkout services, has named Tampa its official East Coast home base.
The company is planning a hiring campaign during which it hopes to hire some 200 employees, many based in Downtown Tampa.

Grammy Award-winning musician Ed Sheeran will be performing at the 2021 Kickoff Experience presented by EA Sports Madden NFL 22 ahead of the league’s season opener between the Dallas Cowboys and defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, Sept. 9.
The festivities will commence at noon ET at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park and feature football-themed interactive games, photo opportunities and other activities throughout the day. Parts of Sheeran’s performance, which is set for 7 p.m. ET, will air on NBC and during NFL Network’s pregame coverage, while a full stream will be available on the NFL’s Facebook page, NFL.com and the NFL app.

A much-anticipated Publix GreenWise Market will open in Downtown Tampa at 7 a.m. Aug. 19, according to the company.
The 26,000-square-foot store is the anchor retail tenant at Heron, the first apartment tower to open at Water Street Tampa, the $3.5 billion Downtown development from Lightning owner Jeff Vinik and Bill Gates’s Cascade Investment.
