The Youth America Grand Prix’s Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow Gala is presented at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, featuring a tribute to choreographer Hans van Manen and performances by YAGP alumni now dancing with leading companies. The program includes Brady Farrar, Yoon Jung Seo, and Takumi Miyake of American Ballet Theatre; Jeraldine Mendoza and Dylan Gutierrez of Joffrey Ballet; and Jacquelin Harris and Yannick Lebrun of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The gala culminates YAGP’s Tampa auditions, which bring more than 300 young dancers, ages 9–19, to compete in the world’s largest student ballet scholarship program before an international panel of judges.
