Youth Council Exhibit Z: Palentine’s Day

Exhibit Z is TMA Youth Council’s bi-monthly program for the 2025-2026 school year that welcomes teens to the Tampa Museum of Art on a regular basis for fun, safe, and creative experiences. Teens can create their own art, collaborate with like-minded peers, and experience the art on view all in a low pressure, no cost environment. All Exhibit Z events are FREE and include materials, gallery admission, and refreshments.

Yoga in the Park

Yoga in the Park is back! Join us for Yoga in the Park every Sunday from 6-7 pm, instructed by Latonyia Sumpter with Empowered Wellbeing! This class is located in Curtis Hixon Park, welcomes all yogis, beginner or advanced, and focuses on kindness and overall wellness of the body and mind.

Thursday Night Ceramics

Work with clay on the potters' wheel and learn how to hand-build. Beginners start with a hand-building project to get acquainted with the clay and then jump into learning how to create their next ceramic adventure. Intermediate students can dive right into getting dirty and take inspiration from instructor-led projects. All experience levels are welcome!

Dog Man: The Musical

Comic book creators George and Harold have reached fifth grade and are ready for a challenge: making a musical based on one of their characters, Dog Man, a part-human, part-canine crime fighter. No problem, right? No. There are problems, all right, and that’s what fuels this charming stage adaptation of the popular children’s book series, which is itself a spin-off of Captain Underpants, all from the mind and pen of author Dav Pilkey. Darci Lynne shines with an all new production in her upcoming tour featuring popular puppet characters Petunia the Bunny, Oscar the Motown Mouse, Sassy Senior Citizen and Edna Door Knocker, plus a few new surprises. Throughout the show, Darci and her characters invite a few volunteers from the audience to be a part of the show for some hilarious laughs!

Quinteto Astor Piazzolla at Straz Center for the Performing Arts

Astor Piazzolla was the undisputed master of nuevo tango. His bold arrangements and forward-looking compositions brought new audiences to tango, particularly when his 1986 album, Tango: Zero Hour, became a surprise hit. Quinteto Astor Piazzolla carries on the legacy of the maestro, who passed in 1992. Formed in 1998, Quinteto Asto Piazzolla explore their namesake’s vast repertoire, keeping Piazzolla’s fiery and innovative music alive for new generations.

Central Park Jazz Jam

Let the good times roll at Central Park Jazz Jam! This FREE community event celebrates the musical history of Downtown Tampa’s Central Park neighborhood. Enjoy LIVE performances from local bands and musicians, along with family-friendly fun from the YMCA. Bring a chair (and your dancing shoes!) as we fill the courtyard of the Tampa Black History Museum with encore-worthy music and community vibes. So let’s get jazzy and swing it like you mean it… this jam is sure to end your evening on a high note!
