Jameson Whiskey Weekend

Four Green Fields
This Jameson Irish Whiskey tasting will feature six unique offerings, including a specialty cocktail accompanied by a special menu of Irish favorites. Graphicstudio’s 50th Anniversary
Begins 7:30pm
Tampa Theatre
Learn about Graphicstudio’s distinguished history of fine art publishing since its founding at the University of South Florida in 1968. Former directors Donald Saff, Alan Eaker, and Hank Hine will join current director Margaret Miller to explore groundbreaking past projects and look to the exciting future of the studio. Jameson Whiskey Weekend

Four Green Fields

Haunted River Tours

Completely revamped for 2018, hop aboard the Pirate Water Taxi for a frighteningly good time on the water. Gather your friends and family for an entertaining evening with tales of ghosts along the Hillsborough River. Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival

Since 1990 TIGLFF has been held at the historic Tampa Theatre. What makes TIGLFF even more special is the street space and plaza out front are closed for tables, tents, vendors and music, giving the festival community a place to gather and celebrate films, community and the refreshing October weather. Judgment at Nuremberg

This work from Abby Mann reenacts one of the most important trials in modern history. Ernest Janning, one of the most influential German legal minds of the pre-war era, and other influential Nazis face a military tribunal in the second wave of post war trials at Nuremberg. Issues at the forefront of this trial reverberate through history and challenge humanity to this day. Judgment at Nuremberg

Hari Kondabolu

Brooklyn writer and comic Hari Kondabolu’s is one of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch” for 2018. Mixing quips with deft political observations, Kondabolu has performed his hilarious socially-conscious stand-up on Late Night with David Letterman, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and on John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show. The Florida Orchestra – Bernstein’s Broadway

Celebrate a century of Leonard Bernstein, one of America’s greatest composers and musicians. Featuring some of his best-loved works for musical theater, including selections from West Side Story, Candide, On the Town and more. It’s also a great way to celebrate Tampa Bay’s vibrant LGBTQ community in honor of National Coming Out Day on Oct 11. Tampa Bay’s Tailgate Taste Fest
Begins 3pm
Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park
Attendees will have the opportunity to taste delicious tailgate treats from a variety of the Bay Area’s local restaurants as they compete to win the hearts and stomachs of local celebrity judges. In addition to filling up on the best tailgate foods that the Bay has to offer, attendees will enjoy live music, tailgate games and live showings of the day’s best college football games on two large LED screens. The Man Who Walked Backward: Ben Montgomery with John Capouya
Begins 1:30pm
Oxford Exchange
A masterful storyteller, Ben Montgomery offers a rich, quirky slice of Americana, drawing on Plennie Wingo’s letters home, Plennie’s own account of his trip, and archival research on the rapidly transforming world of the 1920s and 30s. Montgomery will be joined by John Capouya, author of Florida Soul and a professor of journalism and writing at the University of Tampa. The Man Who Walked Backward

Follies

Filmed live. Exported around the world. This acclaimed series brings filmed versions of great performances from Britain’s theater scene to the high-definition movie screen. There’s a party on the stage of the Weismann Theatre in New York in 1971. Tomorrow, the iconic building will be demolished. Henry B. Plant Museum
Step back in time and enjoy the single-character performances that bring turn-of-the-century Tampa Bay Hotel staff members and guests to life. Each character is based on actual hotel staff and guests. From the reminiscences of Henry Plant himself to the letters of a Spanish-American War soldier, you will learn more about the time period through each character’s particular vantage point. Tampa Riverwalk Trick or Treat
Saturday, October 27
Tampa Riverwalk
Kids in costume along with their families are invited to Trick or Treat along the Riverwalk as part of this FREE community event. Stations are hosted by local businesses and organizations that will be handing out candy and treats to children in costume. At the conclusion of the event, there will be a free family-friendly Halloween movie in Water Works park hosted by Friends of Tampa Recreation! Tampa Riverwalk Trick or Treat
