This performance details the story of Winston Smith, a small cog in the giant machine-state of Oceania. Physically and mentally under the omnipresent eye of Big Brother, Winston has been caught struggling for scraps of love and freedom in a world awash with distrust and violence. With the brutal “help” of four Party Members, Winston is forced to confess his Thoughtcrimes before an unseen Inquisitor and the audience – who act as a silent witness. 1984

The Roadeo is a competition of driving skills and maintenance disciplines, as well as a training and networking opportunity for all attendees. Tampa Riverfest 2018

Tampa Riverwalk
Presented by Friends of the Riverwalk in conjunction with the City of Tampa, the fourth annual edition of this free event will span the entire length of the Riverwalk and feature family-friendly activities and events showcasing Tampa’s cultural institutions, local music, and restaurants. Music fans can enjoy more than 8 bands on the main stage in Curtis Hixon Park. This year’s event features a special new treat: Friday’s Taste of the Riverwalk will feature samples from local restaurants and bars that are located on or near the Riverwalk. The return of spring means the return of Tampa’s longest running concert series. Celebrating 31 years of high-quality entertainment, the eight-week series highlights music of different genres to satisfy all tastes in a fun, family-friendly way. Lean On Pete (2018)

Everyone needs a place to call home. Fifteen-year-old Charley finds acceptance and camaraderie at a local racetrack where he lands a job caring for an aging quarterhorse named Lean On Pete. The horse’s gruff owner and his seasoned jockey help Charley fill the void of his father’s absence – until he discovers that Pete is bound for slaughter, prompting him to take extreme measures to spare his new friend’s life. Charley and Pete head out into the great unknown, embarking on an odyssey across the new American frontier in search of a loving aunt Charley hasn’t seen in years. Lean On Pete (2018)

2nd Annual Tampa Derby Gallop

BAPS Charities Walk Green 2018

An event to raise funds for The Nature Conservancy, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Foundation, and other charitable activities organized by BAPS Charities. This year, BAPS Charities will support The Nature Conservancy’s efforts to plant and restore over 1.6 million acres of land by planting one billion trees by 2025 through their Plant a Billion Trees initiative. Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park
Over Mother’s Day weekend, May 12th and 13th, Julian B Lane Riverfront Park will open to the public featuring a series of very special events and musical talent. This 25 acre park features relaxing water views, dynamic public art, sports fields/courts, picnic areas, and a large rowing center. Little visitors can enjoy the new playground and splash pad. In addition, this park will serve as one of the city’s premium event spaces, able to accommodate up to 16,000 people in a single lawn.
