Director of Public Space Operations & Programming

Rachel Radawec serves as the Director of Public Space Operations & Programming for the Tampa Downtown Partnership. In her role, Racheluses principles of marketing, design, and activation to establish public-private collaboration in public spaces. Her passion for community engagement and public spaces fuels her day-to-day work in fostering vibrant, diverse neighborhoods within Tampa’s Downtown core, while engaging those surrounding it.

 

Rachel has been with the Tampa Downtown Partnership since 2013. In her time at the partnership, she has managed our Clean and Safe Program, which supports a cleaner, safer, and more friendly environment for workers, residents, and visitors to the area. Along with promoting a clean and safe environment she also oversees our Public Space Programming, which help to advance our public spaces into highly programmed and attractive places. Additionally, she manages our annual renewal contract with the City of Tampa and acts as a liaison between all entities involved.

 

Rachel graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Art in Political Science. She also has a Masters of Fine Art with a concentration in Historic Preservation from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Extremely dedicated to the Downtown community, Rachel is an active member of the International Downtown Association, with whom she has earned a Leadership in Placement (LPM) certificate within addition to participating in their Emerging Leaders Fellowship program. She is a member of the Tampa Union Station Board of Directors and the Tampa Theatre WineFest committee. She also serves as the current president of the CA+D Center for Architecture and Design, where she has been a member since 2017 and was awarded AIA’s Award of Excellence in 2016.

My Favorite Thing to do in Downtown

Rock the Park! As a music lover, it’s an absolute treat to get to hear free live music each month with downtown as the backdrop. It’s a great way to support local talent and the music community in general.
