Alana Brasier, AICP

Operations And Public Space Manager

Alana Brasier serves as the Tampa Downtown Partnership’s Operations & Public Space Manager. In this role, she manages all on-street services provided by the Special Services District to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in Downtown Tampa. Alana oversees Tampa’s Downtown Guides and Clean Team, assists with planning and implementing overall operations of the Special Services District, and serves as a liaison with partner agencies and downtown stakeholders. She served on the Partnership’s Special Services District Committee for five years before joining the staff in June 2018.
Prior to joining the Partnership, Alana worked for seven years as an urban planner at Renaissance Planning, an urban planning consulting firm in Tampa. There, she served public agency clients at the local, state, and federal levels on an array of topics including transportation, economic development, community engagement, grant writing, strategic planning, and data analysis. Some of her previous project work includes Project DTO, Downtown Orlando’s 10-year vision plan and accompanying Community Redevelopment Area plan. Locally, she worked on the Selmon Greenway Feasibility Study and authored the TIGER grant that awarded funding to complete the Tampa Riverwalk and construct the Selmon Greenway.
Alana graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Policy. She received her Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of South Florida in 2011 as the program’s first graduate. A Tampa native, she has loved watching downtown evolve over the past several years. Her bike commute to and from work on the Tampa Riverwalk is a daily reminder of how far Tampa has come and she’s excited to be part of the continued growth.

My Favorite Thing to Do in Downtown

Besides biking on the Riverwalk, my ideal day exploring around Downtown includes stopping to grab coffee at Foundation then browsing for books at Inkwood Books, followed by a beer at Hidden Springs before catching a movie at Tampa Theatre.
