Development Team Selected for 1,150-unit Redevelopment in Downtown

The City of Tampa and the CRA have chosen a development team to redevelop four parcels of land in the north area of Downtown. The proposal calls for mixed-use development that includes 1,150 residential units, 70% of which are designated as affordable/workforce housing.

The development could also lead to the redevelopment of the Ashley Drive to I-275 on-ramp, which sits behind the redevelopment area.

Water Works Park Receives New ADA-Friendly Playground Installation

Water Works Park has installed a new ADA-friendly We-Go-Round, which offers ground-level access, wheelchair safety clips, and more to make the playground a more inclusive and welcoming space.

Tampa’s Downtown Neighborhood Placemaking Grant

Tampa’s Downtown Neighborhood Placemaking Grant is a dynamic initiative aimed at fostering vibrant and inclusive neighborhoods. The program offers annual grants up to $30,000 available to the seven neighborhoods of Tampa’s Downtown. These grants are intended to fund community-driven projects that are free and accessible to all residents, workers, and visitors in the neighborhood, driving long-term impact. Number of grants awarded will be based on submissions and those requested funds. The program’s primary objective is to enhance the quality of life for all members of the community and create a strong sense of belonging and engagement through collaborative placemaking initiatives. LEARN MORE.

Storefront and Sidewalk Cafe Grant Program

The Storefront and Sidewalk Cafe Grant serves to create a more attractive pedestrian atmosphere and commercially vibrant environment through street-level storefront improvements and inviting sidewalk cafe settings.
