Tampa's Downtown is divided into seven distinct neighborhoods with their own unique identities. The Tampa Downtown Partnership holds quarterly and monthly events that are specific to each neighborhood, that showcase their defining qualities.

Blind Date with a Book

Blind Date with a Book is a quarterly program that pops up in Snow Park to service the West Riverfront neighborhood of Tampa’s Downtown with an opportunity to explore novels and poems in a shared-read setting.

Channel District Date Nights

The Channel District Date Nights is a quarterly program that services the Channel District neighborhood in Tampa’s Downtown to provide unique date night opportunities. Whether it is with a spouse, partner, or friend, we everyone to join us for “how to” classes at Washington Street Park.

Downtown's Backyard Market

Find fresh finds and city vibes at Downtown’s Backyard Market! This monthly market invites you to Tampa City Center’s Esplanade (Poe Plaza) to get down to earth as local businesses and vendors bring fresh produce and food to the heart of Downtown. From petals to pastries, this is your chance to discover an abundance of local flavors in the city center. Join us the second Thursday of each month to explore a rotating lineup of local vendors… there’s always something new to discover!

Fitness in the Park

The Tampa Downtown Partnership hosts free weekly fitness classes in Downtown’s Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

Monday: HIIT in the Park at 6:00pm

Tuesday: Zumba in the Park at 6:00pm

Thursday: Pilates in the Park at 6:00pm (Resumes March 5, 2026)
Sunday: Yoga in the Park at 6:00pm

Keys in the Park: A Melodic Duel

Keys in the Park is a quarterly program that takes place at The Square in Lykes Gaslight Park to service the River Arts neighborhood in Tampa’s Downtown. Join us for an unforgettable evening of musical magic! Experience the thrill of dueling pianos as talented musicians go head-to-head playing your favorite songs. So grab a blanket, bring your friends and family, and immerse yourself in an evening filled with laughter, creativity, and the joy of live music.

 

WHEN: Bi-monthly – 2nd Friday

WHERE: Lykes Gaslight Park

Mayor's Food Truck Fiesta

Let’s fiesta! Back by popular demand (and hunger), the Mayor’s Food Truck fiesta is rolling in to Lykes Gaslight Park the first Wednesday of every month from 11am to 2pm. Join us for truckloads of local favorites and food that goes the extra mile. (Literally!)

Paw-Fee Break

Paw-Fee Break is a monthly program designed to cater to those that live and work within the Channel District neighborhood of Tampa’s Downtown with an opportunity to take a break from the stress of their desk, walk their dogs, or stretch their legs.

 

WHEN:  Monthly – Every 2nd Wednesday

WHERE: Washington Street Park

Rhythm & Hues

Rhythm and Hues is a quarterly program that pops up in a alleyway off of Franklin and Henderson to service the Tampa Heights neighborhood in Tampa’s Downtown. Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of creativity as you wander through this unique event. Witness the alleyway come to life with an explosion of color, rhythm, and artistic expression as talented local artists showcase their mesmerizing work.

Rock the Park

For almost 15 years, the Tampa Downtown Partnership has produced a free monthly music series showcasing musical talents of all genres

Holiday Events

Eggsploration

Eggsploration is Downtown’s largest egg-citing annual egg hunt! Each year participants are provided with thousands of eggs to find, and each group competes to find one of three golden eggs for a grand prize! This event also offers great food, photo ops, crafts, and more!

WHERE: Julian B. Lane Park

River O' Green

River O’ Green is an annual, free event to kick off the St. Patrick’s Day holiday, as the Hillsborough River is transformed into a bright shade of green. This day of festive fun at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park will feature live music, kids activities, food trucks, and of course, beer!

Winter Village

Celebrate the holiday season in Tampa’s Downtown at Winter Village, presented by the Tampa Bay Lightning, in Curtis Hixon  Waterfront Park!

 

Located along the Tampa Riverwalk, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is transformed with the sights, sounds and activities of the holidays for children and adults of all ages.

Summer Series

The Tampa Downtown Partnership’s Summer Series is held at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park with a giant 10,000-square-foot tent! It’s the perfect place to go to get out of the house and burn off some energy – all while protected from the hot Florida sun. While at Summer Series, you may also enjoy free Wifi provided by PBXChange and listen to local tunes streamed from Tampa’s Downtown Soundtrack on Spotify!

Boom by the Bay

Boom by the Bay is the Tampa Downtown Partnership and City of Tampa’s official annual Fourth of July event that brings festivities to Julian B. Lane Park in Downtown Tampa. Attendees can enjoy Fourth of July activities, and marvelous fireworks from this waterfront destination. Whether it’s live entertainment, kids games, food trucks, or good old American fun, this event has something for every member of the family. 

 

Admission is free and the entire family is welcome, including four-legged members!
