Zeina Kamal serves as the Urban Planning Coordinator for the Tampa Downtown Partnership, supporting the organization’s strategic priorities through planning, mobility, research, and community engagement initiatives. She coordinates a range of planning and transportation projects, including district plans, corridor studies, placemaking efforts, and mobility enhancements, designed to strengthen the experience, accessibility, and long‑term vitality of Downtown Tampa.

 

Zeina leads research and data collection across the Special Services District, analyzing trends in economic activity, pedestrian movement, land use, business mix, and downtown utilization. She develops maps, visualizations, and briefing materials that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for decision‑makers and community partners. She also supports stakeholder outreach and represents the Partnership at public meetings, workshops, and engagement activities.

 

Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, one of the world’s most dynamic and densely populated cities, Zeina’s understanding of urbanism was shaped by the energy, diversity, and constant motion of her hometown. Experiencing how transportation, public spaces, and community life intersect in a major global city inspired her commitment to building more connected, accessible, and human‑scaled urban environments.

 

Before joining the Partnership, Zeina built a diverse background in analytics, data visualization, and project coordination. As Founder & Lead Analyst of Eterno Link LLC, she delivered advanced analytics and AI‑driven insights for clients. Her previous experience includes conducting institutional research as a Graduate Assistant at the University of South Florida and managing large‑scale marketing datasets as a Business Intelligence Analyst at 22Squared. She holds a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics and a Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics & Information Systems from the University of South Florida.
