SATURDAY: Ashley's Eggsploration brought to you by the Tampa Downtown Partnership RETURNS

On Saturday, April 19 from 9:00am – 1:00pm, join us for the LARGEST egg hunt in Tampa’s Downtown!

 

Head to Downtown’s Julian B. Lane Park to enjoy:

  • THOUSANDS of eggs for kids to hunt, with three grand prize golden eggs hidden throughout!
  • Photos with the Easter bunny (bottom 30 minutes of every hour between 9am-12:30pm)
  • A mimosa bar for guests 21+
  • Face painting & balloon animals
  • A bike helmet decorating station & giveaway (courtesy of MattLaw)
  • Bounce houses & a mobile kid’s spa
  • A vibrant market featuring food and retail vendors

THURSDAY: Take a walking tour of Downtown's Water Street neighborhood

Interested in learning more about one of the most modern and aesthetically stunning neighborhoods in Tampa’s Downtown? Consider participating in the Water Street Walking Tour on Thursday from 5:30pm – 7:30pm!

 

Led by architect and planner Keith Greminger, AIA, this tour provides a chance for participants to gain insights about the design of Downtown’s Water Street neighborhood and learn more about its makeup.

 

The tour will start at the office of Gensler, located in the Thousand and One building (1001 Water Street). The experience will conclude with a trip to the rooftop of the Tampa EDITION for cocktails and a gorgeous view of Tampa’s Downtown!

FRIDAY: Rhythm & Hues: An Alleyway Art Show returns to Tampa Heights

Get ready for an evening that celebrates all artistic mediums! Our quarterly event, Rhythm & Hues: An Alleyway Art Show returns on Friday from 6:00pm – 8:00pm!

 

Head to the alleyway adjacent to Franklin St. and Henderson Ave. to experience spoken word poetry, an open-mic night, and a chance to view and purchase visual art. We hope to see you there!

Tampa Bay History Center - Blue Star Museums

The Tampa Bay History Center is proud to once again participate in the Blue Star Museums program, offering free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families from Armed Forces Day (Saturday, May 17) through Labor Day (Monday, September 1).

 

This nationwide initiative is a collaboration between the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across the country.

 

NOTE: Active U.S. Military members must bring a valid ID, and are allowed to bring up to five family members.

Our Storefront/Sidewalk Grant is still active!

Do you have an idea that will beautify a storefront or sidewalk in Tampa’s Downtown? Consider applying for our Storefront & Sidewalk Café Grant!

 

The Storefront & Sidewalk Café Grant serves to create a more attractive pedestrian atmosphere and commercially vibrant environment through street-level storefront improvements and inviting sidewalk café settings.

 

The program offers non-matching grants of up to $7,500 and matching grants over $7,500 up to $10,000 administered on a reimbursement basis, allowing for up to $5,000 of grant funds to be reimbursed every two years.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Clean Air Fair in Tampa's Downtown

The Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough Country (EPC) is hosting its 24th Annual Clean Air Fair on Thursday, May 1 from 11:30am – 1:30pm in Poe Plaza at the corner of Jackson & Franklin St.

 

This FREE lunchtime event aims to showcase environmental sustainability efforts and will feature a variety of environmental exhibitors from across the country.

 

Attendees can look forward to health information, complimentary refreshments and food samples, nature exhibits, prize drawings, live music, and a giveaway!
