Tampa's Downtown recovering well from pandemic, study finds

A study through the University of Toronto and UC-Berkeley looked at 63 cities across the US and Canada, comparing Downtown activity pre-pandemic up until now.

 

Looking at Downtown recovery from December 2022 to February 2023, the study found that Tampa’s Downtown activity is at 84 percent of what we were in 2019.

Three restaurants in Tampa are now Michelin Stars winners, including Lilac in Tampa’s Downtown! Lilac, located inside The Tampa EDITION hotel, offers a contemporary four-course prix-fixe with a Mediterranean influence.

The economics of Water Street Tampa's first phase, by the numbers

In 9.5 years, that vision has grown from conceptual renderings to the first phase of Water Street Tampa, a 5-million-square-foot district that generates $520 million in annual economic output, according to a study by PFM Group Consulting LLC.
