New Eggsploration title sponsor adds golden eggs which will lead to grand prizes!

Downtown Tampa’s largest egg hunt returns for its second year on Saturday, April 8th. Ashley’s Eggsploration, brought to you by the Tampa Downtown Partnership, will have people of all ages searching for thousands of eggs scattered throughout Julian B. Lane Park. New this year, Ashley – this year’s title sponsor – will be hiding a select number of golden eggs, which will lead to grand prizes.

University of Tampa president retiring in 2024 after nearly three decades at the helm

The president of the University of Tampa, Ronald Vaughn, announced last Friday he’s retiring. In a press release, the school said the 76-year-old will step down in May 2024, at the end of the next academic year. He’s been at the helm of the private institution for nearly 30 years, transforming it from a small struggling university to the booming school it is today.


Dr. Vaughn served on the Partnership’s board for over a decade. We are grateful for what he has done for Tampa’s Downtown and wish him a happy retirement!

In Tampa, local officials are scooping up federal funds for a safer Downtown

He’d heard about the sun-soaked city scooping up grant after grant from the federal government, so last week Carlos Monje Jr., one of the nation’s top transportation officials, flew to Tampa.
