Join WEDU PBS for free on November 5th at 7:00 p.m. for a compilation screening and discussion of the mini-series Native America.

Native America is a four-part PBS series that challenges everything we thought we knew about the Americas before and since contact with Europe. It travels through 15,000-years to showcase massive cities, unique systems of science, art, and writing and 100 million people connected by social networks and spiritual beliefs spanning two continents. the series reveals some of the most advanced cultures in human history and the Native America people who created it and whose legacy continues, unbroken, to this day.

Weaving history and science with living indigenous traditions, the series brings to life a land of massive cities connected by social networks spanning two continents, with unique and sophisticated systems of science, art and writing. Made with the active participation of Native-American communities and filmed in some of the most spectacular locations in the hemisphere, Native America reveals an ancient and still thriving culture whose splendor and ingenuity is only now beginning to be fully understood and appreciated.
