On July 20, 1969, humans walked on the moon for the first time. Join the entire Florida Orchestra for an afternoon of family activities and a concert to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this historic moment. Featuring stunning NASA footage from the lunar surface, the concert explores space travel and music about the skies with “Jupiter” from Holst’s The Planets, selections from E.T. by John Williams and much more. The concert also includes introductions to the instrument families of the orchestra. Concert run time: 45 minutes
Come early for the Instrument Petting Zoo at 1 pm.
