(Tampa – July 24, 2019) On Tuesday, September 10 at 7pm, the USF Institute for Research in Art, part of the College of The Arts, is pleased to present Stink! Stank! Stunk!, a free artist talk with celebrated conceptual artist Alex Da Corte. Da Corte’s work is inspired by American pop culture, and ranges from surreal immersive video and neon installations to wall-based work and inflatable sculpture. He stimulates the collective cultural imagination with colorful characters, products and references from movies, literature, television, mythology and cartoons. Fresh off recent installations at the 57th Carnegie International and the 58th Venice Biennial, Da Corte will discuss his influences and creative practice.

In support of the USF Institute for Research in Art’s mission to engage the Tampa Bay community through dynamic cultural events and exhibitions with the leading contemporary artists of our time, this program with Alex Da Corte is sponsored by USFCAM Art for Community Engagement (ACE) Fund patrons.
