History Center docent Angela O’Connell will share snapshots and stories of the history of Tampa from the 1800s to modern times. O’Connell will cover the city’s history from the founding of Ft. Brooke in 1832 through the arrival of Henry Plant, the establishment of Ybor City, WWII and the Civil Rights Movement. Trace the evolution of Tampa from frontier outpost to bustling multi-cultural metropolis.
