Event Details

Cubans are present in the Tampa story from the earliest pioneer days to the cigar boom of the 1880s. Indeed, Tampa played a pivotal role in Cuba’s first revolution, and a minor, but still important, role in its second. Led by historian Maura Barrios, celebrate Tampa with a look and the historical and cultural connections between the Tampa Bay area and Cuba.

Cuba en Tampa is part of Archives Awareness Week and is free and open to the public. Celebrate Tampa’s birthday with complimentary cake and refreshments.
