Lynda Remund, the Tampa Downtown Partnership’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has retired after being at the helm for 5 years as CEO. Lynda has been with the Partnership for over 23 years. Shaun Drinkard, a longtime senior staff member, will serve as interim president while a nationwide search for Lynda’s replacement is conducted.

Travel + Leisure named Tampa Edition to its 18th annual “Best New Hotels in the World” list. The list features hotels spanning 37 countries across six continents and representing various categories, such as beach getaways, affordable luxury, wellness resorts and luxury city hotels. According to a release, the editors of Travel + Leisure reviewed hundreds of new and renovated properties worldwide and then narrowed them down to 100.

“The main goal of this program is to offset our carbon emissions as a city, reduce traffic, make sure that people are getting around safely and more efficiently within our city, and also making sure that both vehicles and bicyclists are prepared for a future of sustainable, reliable, transportation,” said Austin Britt, the city of Tampa’s park and planning coordinator.
Residents can register for an electronic bike voucher through April 14th.
