Ongoing & Annual Tampa Downtown Partnership Programs and Events

Throughout the year the Tampa Downtown Partnership produces downtown Tampa events and programs that help keep the downtown Tampa community informed and engaged. Explore the downtown Tampa events and programs below for a list of ongoing and annual downtown Tampa events and programs.

Ongoing:

The Downtown Debriefing Series is held 8 times a year among many other downtown Tampa, Florida events.

The Downtown Debriefing Series features eight breakfast events annually, focusing on important development issues that impact Downtown including topics such as the Downtown Residential Experience, the importance of smart planning, sustainability, arts & culture, transportation Initiatives , City of Tampa updates  and other important issues. 
The REALM Task Force is a Tampa Downtown Partnership program focused on the concept of public open space programming and management

Organized around the concept of public open space programming and management, the Tampa Downtown Partnership’s REALM Task Force has been created initially to advance the new Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park into a highly programmed and attractive public open space.  Acknowledging the limited financial resources of the City of Tampa, REALM brings collaborating minds and financial wherewithal to work with the city to actively program the public open space with daily and evening activities, while coordinating existing and new larger scale events designed to instill a sense of community and gathering in our City’s newest asset. 

 

Summer:

Summertime Savings Cards are a Tampa Downtown Partnership program providing discounts and deals. When the temperatures rise, downtown merchants and restaurants offer some cool deals!  The Summertime Savings Card is a "show your card and save" program.  Launching each July and valid through Labor Day, businesses offer amazing discounts.  Free food items, discounted admissions and specials available only to card holders are just some of the deals you will discover with a Summertime Savings Card.  Cards are free and available throughout downtown Tampa.

 

October - May:

The Tampa Downtown Partnership program supports the Friday Tampa Downtown Market which is open from October-May. Established by the Tampa Downtown Partnership in 2008, the Tampa Downtown Market brings the farm to the city.  Operating Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Tampa Downtown Market offers downtown workers, visitors and residents an opportunity to purchase unique crafts, fresh produce and explore downtown Tampa.  The Tampa Downtown Market is the perfect place to find that special something for someone in your life or for yourself.  Visit www.tampadowntownmarket.com for more details.

 

Winter:

The annual Downtown Tampa Urban Excellence Awards are supported by the efforts of the Tampa Downtown Partnership program.

The Downtown Tampa Urban Excellence Awards celebrate businesses, organizations, individuals, events and projects that have made significant contributions toward creating a unique, vibrant and diverse downtown environment – and have made a lasting, positive impact on downtown Tampa. Each year an awards jury representing a cross-section of downtown constituencies selects six (6) award winners honoring the leadership, innovation, hard work, talent and community spirit.

 

Spring:

One of the most exciting annual Tampa downtown events is the Downtown Bike Race and Festival.

 The Tampa Downtown Partnership produces the Cigar City Brewery Criterium and Festival in March of each year.   Downtown’s brick streets present one of the most technically challenging courses for this exciting Criterium-style urban bike race. It’s like Nascar on two wheels! While watching racers vying for position whiz by at 35 mph, spectators can browse the accompanying street fair, which features a local food and beer garden; cycling exhibits and demos, fun ride, family activities and more. The Tampa Downtown Partnership puts together the Annual Downtown Development Forum each Spring.
