Rock The Park, is downtown's new and free monthly music event scheduled the first Thursday of every month. The music series showcases local musicians in an intimate setting on the plaza of the new Tampa Museum of Art and overlooks the new Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. Each concert will present 2 to 3 acts every month. The music genres will be diverse, primarily acoustic and small rock bands, however showcasing different themes such as reggae, country, soul/R&B, etc. The event on August 5th features music by Emily Dykes, Chris Nathan, and The Groves.
With the support of our business community, and partnering with the Tampa Downtown Partnership, The Tampa Museum of Art, City of Tampa Parks and Recreation, and REAX Music, Rock the Park looks forward to a fantastic season in 2010, and many more to follow in the years to come. |
