Special Notice - UCAP Downtown Pipeline Replacement Project

In addition to the closure listed below, the Tampa Downtown Partnership has been informed that the Tampa Convention Center is hosting a regional awards ceremony tomorrow evening at 6pm. Additional traffic and parking demands will likely result.
 
This e-mail is to provide special notice for upcoming work on the UCAP Downtown Pipeline Replacement Project.  Beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 15, UCAP crews will be installing the new water pipeline in Madison St. across Ashley Dr. This work is expected to be complete by Saturday, Feb. 19.

The following changes will take place during this activity:
 
Phase I, Feb. 15 - 16:  the easternmost lane of Ashley Dr. will be closed.  Northbound traffic will be reduced to two travel lanes at the intersection of Madison and Ashley.  Please refer to the attached MOT Plan I. To view map,

Phase IA, Feb. 17:  the center northbound lane of Ashley Dr. will be closed to traffic at the intersection of Madison and Ashley.  Please refer to figure the attached MOT Plan IA.

Phase II, on Feb. 18 - 19:  the two westernmost northbound lanes and two easternmost southbound lanes on Ashley Dr. will be closed.  Northbound traffic on Ashley Dr., from Kennedy Blvd. to Madison St., and southbound traffic on Ashley Dr., from Twiggs St. to Madison St., will be reduced to two travel lanes.  Please refer to figure the attached MOT Plan II.

During all phases of the project Madison St. will be closed to traffic between Tampa St. and Ashley Dr.

Please advise your residents, tenants and patrons  that they should use an alternate route when leaving downtown.
